Surgeon Actions begin as a single piece of 4140 chrome moly, machined, and enter the wire EDM process for bolt bore and race way cutting to ensure consistent accuracy. After returning to the mills for completion, the Actions are engraved and sent to final inspection. Meanwhile, Surgeon Bolts begin as a solid 4140 forging, are roughed machined, and sent out for heat treatment. Upon return, bolts are finished machined, sent out to be case hardened, and upon final return enter a last process and final inspection.
